Self Assesment

Academic Program Review (APR) is a Higher Education Development (HEDP) project funded by the World Bank. The program aims to ensure that all academic programs taught in Afghan universities:
 Meet market needs
 Have up-to-date, high quality curricula
 Monitored properly
 Established and closed as per need
Self-assessment by the University and then the subsequent evaluation of external peer reviewers from Ministry of Higher Education is the major component of the APR and an integral part of accreditation.
There are currently (April, 2020) 12 primary and 50 secondary quality assurance standards with varying requirements for each of the three stages in accreditations.
Accreditation process comprises of three stages with 50, 70 and 85 marks considered for success in first, second and third stage respectively.
Alfalah University has passed second stage of accreditation in March 2019. The University is expected to submit self-assessment report of third stage in late 2020.
